Interviews: with Daniele Cardinali, student.

1. What is the essence of Vilnius?
Being here in this graceful city, exactly in this period of the year, is probably the best experience ever
I could have as traveller. Meanwhile summer is coming you can clearly see a mood change in citizens: a bright and harmonious life starts in the streets, with lot of open spaces becoming a meeting point for people. Walking in the main avenues you can't believe your eyes about how many temporary-bars have been installed on the sidewalk to join the summer life. Despite stereotypes that usually orbit around northern countries, locals of Vilnius are really friendly and warm people.

2. What is your favorite restaurant/place?

As a respectable traveller at first should do, I immediately looked for local kitchen restaurants. Lithuanian delicacies are various, sumptuos and always to enjoy with a different beer of the great variety of lithuanian ale. Hanging out or eating in the old town is great: for a cheap price, you can get an expensive taste.

3. Where do you go out?

Vilnius is full of places where is possible to hang out, but the best in summer is just to go out for the streets of the Old Town and to sit in the open locals you can easily find everywhere. Even if you are alone is not difficult to get in touch with locals, who are very friendly.

4. Describe a perfect Sunday (or any other day) in the Vilnius city?
Actually, likewise sunny days are longer now, a perfect sunday should be spent in Trakai. A nice place for tourists, at the same time really relaxing. Surrounded by nature there is a castle, old residence of the greatduchy of Lithuania. It's possible to have a cheap and short boat-trip on the lake nearby, and there are lot of places where it's possible to drink a coffee or eat typical lithuanian dishes.

5. Please tell me more about yourself?
I'm 22, I live in Rome and I studied Public and Corporate Communication. I love to travel, meet new cultures and discover different places each year. I've been living in Finland for one year and I'm thinking to move abroad again.
